Drawing Tools

MyDraw provides essential vector drawing tools that allow you to draw lines, bezier curves, circular arcs, elliptical arcs, and freehand curves. Furthermore, you can edit the geometry of existing geometry primitives and shapes by dragging geometry control points.

Composite Solid Geometry

Sometimes the easiest way to draw something is to combine two or more geometries. For example, you can draw a doughnut by subtracting one circle from another, or you can draw a Mickey Mouse silhouette by performing a union of three circles.

In MyDraw you can perform union, subtraction, intersection and exclusive-or operations with the geometries of any set of shapes. This makes it possible to quickly construct very complex geometrical figures.

Drawing Aids

MyDraw provides many aids that aim to make it easier for you to draw geometries and place shapes at exact coordinates. These aids include the guidelines, grid, and rules.

Guidelines are user-defined and can help you arrange shapes and other drawing primitives more accurately.

The rulers operate in the current drawing scale, thus giving you exact measurements of the objects that you work with. For example, if you are creating a floorplan the rulers will show you a table measured in feet, not pixels.

The grid is displayed behind the objects that you draw, thus naturally helping you to more accurately place, align and resize objects.

Drawing Scale

MyDraw has strong support for drawing scales. Drawing scales help you show real objects with accurate sizes reduced or enlarged by a certain amount (called the scale). This allows you to work with real object sizes in your drawing, regardless of whether they are very big or very small. Drawing scales are naturally used in many architectural, civil engineering, and mechanical engineering scenarios.

Align, Resize, and Space Shapes

MyDraw makes it easy for you to align, resize and position shapes relative to a certain anchor shape – for example, align the left sides of all selected shapes to the left side of the anchor shape. This makes it possible to quickly create perfectly arranged diagrams.
